Workflows

Editors and contributors may save their work at any time by clicking the 'Save' icon from the Editor Toolbar. Completed pages must be approved before going live, a process that is managed by the NetDevPlus workflow. Workflow is activated as soon as the 'Submit' icon has been selected from the Editor Toolbar. Edited pages awaiting Workflow approval display a yellow page corner in the tree structure.

Search engine optimisation

NetDevPlus organises your site with clear, logical text names in address paths so that search engines can easily identify pages. Moreover, our shorter, simpler URLs and aliases make marketing campaigns more effective, leading visitors directly to the information they want.

Multilingual

NetDevPlus knows how important standards are in web development, and complies with W3C standards to support popular character sets, so you can build a website in any language with the confidence that it will display correctly. Additionally, localisation tools make it easy for your content editors around the world to approach content development in a consistent manner, while ensuring that the content translation process happens smoothly without going through complicated channels.

NetDevPlus supports true multilingual site construction by enabling administrators to develop the multilingual versions of their sites in parallel allowing you to globalise your site. A site structure and design is created in English and then the content of the English language site are copied to each foreign language site to be translated. This has the advantage that the multiple language sites can be developed over time with English language content appearing by default when there is no second language option available.

The interface gives a clear indication of which pages have a translated version in place and which do not. Despite the parallel development, the foreign language versions exist completely independently of the English language version and can be used as the primary site language or be access via different domains. Common phrases used throughout the site (i.e., search button text) are accessed via a dictionary system to give their foreign language versions.

Key features:

  • Foreign character set support: Different character codes can be set on a page by page basis
  • Parallel site development: You can develop all of your language sites at once
  • Failover: If a page is not available in the specific language, the browser displays the page in the root language
  • System dictionaries: Currently, NetDevPlus supports English, Dutch, French, Gaelic, German, and Spanish; more dictionaries can be added on application
  • Support for Cyrillic and Oriental forms
  • Independent styles and layouts: Different language sites can be made to look different
