NetDevPlus

Public Sector

Companies and organisations operating in the public sector face obstacles as they attempt to balance full compliance regarding government accessibility standards with the time and money expended.

The NetDevPlus content management system ensures the legally required levels of accessibility are at least met and usually surpassed. However, the system is not structured around conforming to rules that unnecessarily conflict with the user experience.

Prestigious clients

NetDevPlus has worked extensively with an impressive roster of clients in central government including the House of Commons and Number 10 Downing Street. We also work with the NHS and have worked with further education bodies such as Kingston University.

Providing a browser interface for access

NetDevPlus draws on over 10 years' of XM’s experience to maximise both the potential of the browser environment and the level of usability. We’re increasingly interested in maintaining a simple structure while implementing features that will make the visit more interactive and personal.

Multi-channel delivery

Delivering across vertical layers is made significantly easier thanks to the CMS’s compartmentalisation of web format and content. This allows data to be easily delivered to a range of devices and systems.

Using XML as the primary means for data integration

NetDevPlus is an XML-based product with proven interoperability with a range of complementary software solutions. In addition, XSLT transformations may also be employed where appropriate to format content on import or export. NetDevPlus is committed to supporting new CSS and XSL standards as they appear.

Using Internet and World Wide Web standards

XM London takes standards compliance very seriously. NetDevPlus delivers strongly on XHTML compliance and incorporates a built-in XHTML checker to help customers remain compliant throughout the content management process and lifecycle.

Using metadata for content management

NetDevPlus has complied with the prescribed e-Government Metadata Standard (e-GMS) since its inception and pays close attention to developments in this area.
